Sailing in Cumbria

Bassenthwaite Sailing Club is a privately run club by its members for the use and benefit of the membership. Bassenthwaite provides beautiful inland sailing water surrounded by the northern fells of The Lake District National Park. The clubhouse is situated 8 miles north of Keswick just off the A66 at Dubwath. It is a modern building with wonderful views over the lake, good changing facilities, a family/function room, a well equipped galley and licensed bar.

Glenridding Sailing School and Boat Hire www.lakesail.co.uk is based at Ullswater and offers a range of courses in sailing, canoeing, kayaking and windsurfing from one hour to 5-days and weekend courses. They also hire out  sailboats, canoes and kayaks.
